REMEMBER: always backup your 'gamedata' and 'bin' folders before installing this mod and install on your own responsibility.
The mod has been designed and tested on version 1.6.02 only.
This mod will replace your original Full Dynamic Lighting render DLLs. It is required for AtmosFear 3 to work properly. The original DLLs will be stored in \bin\dll_backup subdirectory of your game directory. On AtmosFear 3 uninstall they will be copied back. In case they won't you need to copy them back manually to \bin subdirectory of your game.
- Uninstall previous versions of AtmosFear (highly recommended)
- Run 'AtmosFear 3 CoP Setup' and follow the instructions.
- Start the new game. It is REQUIRED for AtmosFear 3 to work properly.
Go to Start Menu > Programs > Cromm Cruac
Run Uninstall AtmosFear 3 CoP
In unlike case when the original DLLs were not restored copy them manually from '\bin\dll_backup' to '\bin' directory.
AtmosFear 3 requires at least 2GB RAM to work without problems.
Installing hi-res texture pack requires at least 500MB more RAM memory than vanilla. Installing this pack can cause memory problems on 32bit systems or systems with less than 3GB RAM.
This mod can seriosly stress your graphic card as it is designed for high-end graphic cards.
However, it has been tested on double SLi-ed 8800GTS with lowered graphic settings with pretty decent results in
framerate. If you experience drop in framerate try to reduce Object details, SSAO, Sun rays quality settings in advanced graphics settings and/or resolution in basic settings.
Don't change in-game basic preset (low, medium, high).
Dynamic DOF and particle waves during blowout can cause framerate drop.
